VPN Trust Initiative Relaunches Trust Seal Program with Annual Accreditation

In a world where digital surveillance and online threats are increasing, the use case for VPNs is clear—but not all VPNs are created equal. Without clear standards, users can’t easily tell which services to trust. This is why VTI created the VPN Trust Seal to help customers recognize companies that uphold high standards across five core areas:

  • Security
  • Privacy
  • Disclosure & Transparency
  • Advertising Practices
  • Social Responsibility

After its initial success, VTI has expanded its Trust Seal program as a yearly reaccreditation program to more clearly identify the service providers that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to ethical operations.

Congratulations to eVenture, provider of the hide.me VPN service, for being the first member company to achieve re-accreditation. We trust that they will not be alone in doing so, as our membership has been active in promoting these standards—leading from the front to establish a high bar for what constitutes a trustworthy VPN provider.
